Who We Are
Since 2009, Heights Interfaith Ministries Food Pantry has worked in our community to reduce food insecurity. The Pantry serves families across Houston and distributes pantry staples, fresh produce, eggs, basic toiletries and more on Thursdays from 4 to 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 12 PM. We are 100% funded by donations, 100% volunteer-run, and guided and supported by several Houston Heights area churches.
What We Do
Each Thursday evening and Saturday morning we distribute groceries to clients, via drive through, outside of the pantry, under the covered pavilion. Positions include a volunteer lead, client interviewers, traffic controllers and volunteers loading food. Most of the jobs are outside of the pantry.
